Local and Worldwide Connections
With four sales a year, the European Ceramic department is responsible for cataloging 18th century English porcelain through to 20th century Decorative Arts. This regular calendar and dynamic sales expertise allows for the department to both carefully curate and successfully sell individual items through to large single-owner collections, with interested garnered both locally and abroad. Our proficiency in creating and forging relationships with clients alongside our lively internet bidding capability and targeted marketing campaigns mean that we can achieve the best possible results for items at auction.
Recent successes in this area include the sale of a number of 18th century Caughley porcelain collections which exceeded far beyond the initial expectations and which created a strong association with the relevant groups of collectors. Our track record in this area extends across the board; and with a new and exciting move in our sale calendar with an up and coming Design section our specialist Caroline Dennard welcomes the idea to see ceramics from both the traditional and growing contemporary ends of the market.
